BARCODE

BARCODE

Barcodes seems to have been around forever but they were patented in 1951 by Norman Joseph Woodland and Bernard Silver. The invention is based on Morse Code. It wasn’t until 1974 that the first barcode was scanned on a pack of Wrigley’s chewing gum.
