QR Code

Quick Response Codes, or QR Codes were invented in Japan in 1974 by an automotive company. These two dimensional barcodes are meant to be scanned and contain information that is read by a machine. Visually known by little black squares in seemingly random patterns, they can be read by a smartphone camera and are used in marketing, inventory tracking and just about everything you buy in the grocery store.
